One of the greatest things about working in the photography industry is that there’s always something new to learn! Working alongside others in the field is such a great way to network and be inspired by others in the field. I recently collaborated with fellow photographers, Diana Jex and Crystal Caldwell, during our Wandering Artists retreat and it was one for the books. Expectant mama, Adriana, was the subject for our maternity shoot in Carmel, CA and it was nothing short of magical.
Adriana is expecting her second baby in the coming months, so she alongside her partner, Andrew, and her sweet little one, Kane, joined us for the session. Adriana was absolutely glowing! She was so comfortable in her own gorgeous skin and such a joy to photograph.

It was clear from the start that she is such a loving, devoted mother to Kane. Her adoration for her sweet boy shone throughout the session and it’s easy to imagine she will be equally as doting for her newest bundle! It was lovely to shoot the two of them together and having the opportunity to capture such sweet moments between mother & son.
Andrew joined in for a few shots alongside this precious family and he is such a proud dad. He & Adriana are incredibly easy going and adventurous which made for some great shots with Kane. They were comfortable letting him explore with wondrous curiosity the surroundings that day, and it was a beautiful location for doing exactly that.
California Golden Hour
The Carmel seaside was a sight to behold. I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful sunset or more magical lighting! Adriana brought goddess energy to the session and the wonder of motherhood was on full display against a gorgeous, dramatic sky.
Adriana glowed in the golden California sunlight next to the water. Mother Nature herself seemed to be present for the shoot and illuminated the beauty of Adriana’s body growing new life. The combination of the magic of motherhood and boldness of Mother Nature made for some incredible shots for this mama to treasure for years to come.
Adriana, it was such a pleasure to photograph you and your beautiful family. Thank you for entrusting me with capturing such a special season in your life and motherhood journey. Your newest addition is such a lucky little one to get to join a family overflowing with love and affection for each other.
This session was such a joy from start to finish.
